410 LOAN ADMIN - CREDIT ANALYST III
JOB SUMMARY:
Conducts credit reviews, risk rating of Commercial loans, and provides written risk rating to loan officers, Loan Committee, and Loan & Discount Committee. Ensures that risk ratings are applied in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures, and loan underwriting policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
The candidate must have bachelor’s degree in business or accounting, or 2+ years of experience as a Credit Analyst or comparable experience in a position dealing with loan underwriting.
Moderate knowledge of Federal and State regulations relating to loans.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills to properly evaluate financial statements.
Moderate knowledge of ratios, derivation, and meaning of DSCR, FCCR, leverage, days turnover, liquidity measures.
Moderate understanding of global cash flow.
Good understanding of proforma and normalized operating results.
General understanding of sensitivity analysis.
Understanding of cash flow drivers and rationale for selection.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
Excel skills capable for margined collateral analysis.
Excel skills capable for summary A/R aging worksheet and eligibility.
Excel skills for calculating periodic loan interest expense worksheet.
Excel skills capable for consolidating financial statements worksheet.
Excel skills capable for business combination worksheets.
Moderate ability to spread financial statements on PC software systems.
Moderate knowledge of business industries as they relate to credit analysis.
Ability to comprehend new concepts (through on-the-job and external training experiences) and apply to job duties.
Ability to make recommendations and independent judgments on credit analysis and risk ratings.
Strong work ethic and problem-solving orientation.
Evaluation skills and pro-active assessment aptitude.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS:
Job Performance Behaviors: Contributing to organization success, job effectiveness, relationships, and customer satisfaction. (Weighting Percentage: 20%)
Loan risk ratings on a daily basis. (Weighting Percentage: 40%)
Loan reviews of commercial loans on a monthly schedule, to be performed at least annually and in some cases semi-annually. (Weighting Percentage: 40%)
Specific Duties
Assist in the review of commercial loans on an ongoing basis.
Prepares risk rating of commercial loans and provides a written report of each loan to the respective loan officer for review by the appropriate lending authority (loan officer, in-house loan committee, and/or Loan & Discount committee).
Responsible for providing supervisor with risk ratings receiving a rating below average for potential consideration for inclusion on the Bank’s Watch List.
Advise loan officers of problems with loans and/or the need for additional required documentation.
Recommend policy changes as necessary for credit scoring and loan policy.
Special projects.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contact with clients and the public, conducting relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank.
Participation in community organizations/projects.
Attending training courses applicable to enhance skills and abilities.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by Direct Report, VP-Credit Administration, SVP-Senior Credit Officer, Head/SVP Credit Administration, or President to ensure a continuous workflow of daily operations.
