This role offers the opportunity to lead estimating efforts for large-scale, global plant projects that combine engineering precision, commercial insight, and technical excellence. Location : Charlotte, NC Salary : $90,000 - $120,000 + discretionary bonus Duration : Permanent/Direct Hire This role reports to the Recruiting Manager at FootBridge and involves developing thorough, data-driven cost estimates that support new plant sales, aftermarket work, and international project delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and executives—playing a key role in defining project scope, strategy, and profitability from the start. What You’ll Do
Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for complex industrial plant projects worldwide. Analyze and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, proposals, and project documentation to build accurate, defensible estimates. Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to ensure cost visibility and control. Partner with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to validate cost data and develop comprehensive budgets. Present cost reviews and recommendations to senior and executive leadership. Maintain historical cost data and develop financial models to forecast project cash flow and resource needs. What You Bring
6+ years of experience estimating within industrial EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environments—ideally with steel, metals, or large-scale process facilities. Strong analytical and technical foundation; expert-level Excel skills and experience with cost estimating software (e.g., Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Cleopatra, CostOS, ProEst). Excellent communication and presentation skills—you can confidently brief executives and project leaders. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on experience (10–15 years). Professional certifications such as
AACE CEP/CCP
or
PMP
