Lead preparation of all detailed cost estimates for proposals, studies and value engineering for DRI industrial plant projects. Develop and apply standardized cost estimating methodology in accordance with American or International recognized cost estimating professional organizations. Establish estimated Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), related dictionaries and Basis of Estimates (BOEs). Read and interpret extensive Requests for Proposal (RFP) documents and translate them into comprehensive cost estimates. Perform takeoffs from P&IDs, PFDs, engineering drawings and equipment lists; ensure estimates align with technical documentation. Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Engineering, Commercial, Procurement, Proposal Engineering, and executive management on cost estimates for plant sales, aftermarket, R&D, and active projects. Evaluate incoming cost estimates, quotes and data for accuracy and completeness. Develop and present financial models forecasting project cash flows and resource needs; manage cost control budgets with Project Controls and ERP/Primavera P6 inputs. Prepare and present official cost reviews to departmental and senior management. Maintain historical data sets for estimating and support continuous improvement in estimating practices. Required

Minimum of six (6) years of hands-on experience estimating within industrial engineering and procurement, preferably iron and steel or related industries. Knowledge and experience using cost estimating software; expert level proficiency in MS Excel. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; comfortable presenting estimates to senior and executive teams. Preferred

AACE International Certifications: CEP; CCP. PMI: PMP. Estimating tools: Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Cleopatra Enterprise, CostOS, ProEst. Education and Experience

Required: Associate degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or 10-15 years of experience in Industrial Cost Estimating. Experience: Senior Cost Estimator level candidates encouraged to apply. Travel Requirements

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (~5%). Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to move around a project site, including climbing structures. Other Duties
