Part-Time (3 Days/Week) Salary:
Competitive, commensurate with experience About Us: This is a part-time position based at Eiseman Jewels, NorthPark Center in Dallas, Texas. The schedule is hybrid, requiring both work from home and on-site during standard business hours, with occasional evening and weekend event commitments. Eiseman Jewels is a trusted name in fine jewelry and luxury timepieces, known for our commitment to quality, integrity, and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Graduate Gemologist and NAJA Certified Appraiser to join our team on a part-time basis. Key Responsibilities: Conduct accurate and thorough appraisals of fine jewelry and timepieces for insurance, estate, resale, and legal purposes. Prepare detailed written appraisal reports in accordance with NAJA standards. Examine and grade gemstones, precious metals, and watches using industry-standard tools and techniques. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, gemological advancements, and appraisal methodologies. Provide expert consultation to clients and staff regarding valuation and authentication. Ensure proper documentation and secure handling of all items. Qualifications: Gemological Institute of America Graduate Gemologist Current certification from the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) with C.M. credentials or higher required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in jewelry and/or timepiece appraisal. Proficiency in gemological tools and software (e.g., GIA instruments, Gemprint, etc.). Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Must be willing to sign an NDA to separate your work at Eiseman Jewels from that of any other outside appraisal work Based on your success and growth in this department, this role can transition to full-time. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with luxury watch brands (e.g., Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega). Familiarity with appraisal software and digital documentation.
