location. Responsibilities Personal Bankers are the key ambassadors of the Commerce Bank brand. Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers, co-workers, and other areas of the business within Commerce. Uncover the financial needs of each customer and provide solutions to address those needs. Receive the tools, resources, and training you need to be successful and have opportunities to advance your career. Deliver an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone to meet customers’ financial needs. Actively listen to customers and make appropriate recommendations that match their needs. Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions that improve financial wellness. Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Establish relationships with other internal departments and refer customers to bank specialists when complex needs are identified. Opportunity to earn more than base pay through quarterly incentive programs. Essential Functions Interact with customers in person and over the phone to meet financial needs through needs-based conversations and sales fulfillment. Listen, understand, and recommend products and services to achieve individual and team goals. Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions to enhance the customer experience and support sales goals. Ensure financial transactions are accurate and compliant with policies and regulatory requirements. Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong sales skills with the ability to provide excellent customer experiences in person and over the phone. Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations. Motivated, organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Team player with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Adaptable with an optimistic outlook aligned with our culture and Core Values. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years sales or customer service experience required. Experience in an environment with individual and team sales goals preferred. Position may be filled as a Personal Banker I or II, depending on experience and education.
