Essential Job Functions
Provides quality customer service to patients and families Answers phone and assists patients and staff. Relays messages accurately and timely. Acts as a resource to nursing, staff and support services. Enters orders into computer system and performs various duties as instructed or requested. Performs clerical duties including transcribing, entering or faxing orders and patient information as needed. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies. Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone. Follows procedures for admits, transfer and discharge of patients including entering information into patient records, notifying necessary personnel, ensuring all records are present in chart/computer system. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent preferred Previous experience in a medical related field is preferred, but not required Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred Full time, 35 hours per week, 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM CVH is EOE
