Oncourse Home Solutions (OHS) is a US-based warranty provider that delivers safety and homecare expertise to customers. We protect critical home functions inside the home (plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surges, hot water heaters, interior electrical) and outside the home (water, gas, wells, sewers, electric, septic). We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering with utilities and municipalities to offer our products and often adding our subscription fee to the utility bill. We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Scrum Master to join our team in Naperville, IL, to combine traditional project management with Scrum principles and drive high-quality project delivery.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Scrum Master to play a pivotal role in combining traditional project management with Scrum principles to deliver high-quality projects. Working with technical and business stakeholder teams, this role will ensure effective implementation of Scrum principles while fostering a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework, with the ability to coach teams and facilitate Scrum events effectively.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Coach team members in Agile practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles.

Coach teams in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, story points, etc.).

Drive definition of done for all sprints with clear success criteria and instrumentation/monitoring.

Collaborate with Product Owners to manage the product backlog effectively and assist in prioritization.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans with tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.

Execute project plans to achieve milestones on schedule and within scope.

Oversee project budgets and ensure financial constraints are adhered to.

Establish and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including team members, sponsors, and external vendors.

Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure understanding of project goals.

Provide regular project status updates, risk assessments, and issue-resolution plans.

Coordinate and allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives.

Lead change management to ensure adoption of changes from project implementations.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.

Provide timely updates to stakeholders on project status and potential challenges.

Foster collaboration by facilitating open communication among team members, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications

8+ years of technology experience with a minimum of 5 years as a Scrum Master on digital development teams.

Experience leading and delivering large digital platforms and websites including customer enrollment and payment functionalities, SaaS platforms (Salesforce) and ERP initiatives.

Experience managing technical projects that delivered customer-facing web platforms in eCommerce environments (Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, VTEX) and CMS tools (ContentStack, Magnolia, Contentful).

Experience with Agile project management tools (Jira, Trello).

Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework; familiarity with SAFe or Kanban.

Strong skills in guiding teams and facilitating Scrum events; excellent verbal and written communication with diverse stakeholders.

Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Certifications Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).

Compensation and Benefits We offer a compelling total rewards package including base salary and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range for this position is $107,355 - $142,600 USD annually. Compensation may include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target. Our benefits include healthcare, life insurance, paid time off, retirement, commuter benefits, and education reimbursement. Exact compensation varies by skills, experience, and location.
