Overview As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you’ll manage a book of commercial accounts, strengthen client relationships, and support producers with renewals and servicing. This is a professional client-service position focused on accuracy, responsiveness, and trust. It involves client communication and coordination with carriers, but no cold calling, production quotas, or sales targets.
Responsibilities
Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned commercial clients
Review renewals, evaluate coverages, and prepare proposals
Process policy changes, endorsements, and certificates
Coordinate claims between clients and carriers
Maintain accurate documentation in the agency management system
Support producers with marketing and binding of coverage
Communicate proactively to ensure client satisfaction and retention
Qualifications
Active South Carolina Property & Casualty license
Minimum 3 years of commercial lines account management experience
Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and rating procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and organizational ability
Proficiency with AMS software, carrier portals, and Microsoft Office
Salary and Benefits Salary Range:
$60,000-$75,000 annually (based on experience and expertise)
Exceptional candidates with extensive commercial-lines experience may be considered above this range.
