Software Business Development Product Manager role at Advantech. You will collaborate with global technology leaders in software and hardware to devise and implement strategic software business initiatives that align Advantech with premier partners and their objectives. Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy that aligns Advantech’s objectives with those of key software technology partners (e.g., Ubuntu, QNX, SOTI), ensuring mutual growth and long-term collaboration. Formulate strategies to integrate Advantech’s embedded platforms with AIoT software and service initiatives. Define and execute product promotional plans, including digital and offline marketing campaigns, internal training sessions, webinars, and joint programs with sales teams, partners, and customers. Build, manage, and maintain strong customer and partner relationships to enhance satisfaction and foster long-term cooperation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including sales, product management, application engineering, supply chain, and procurement—to ensure timely and successful project execution. Oversee product life cycle management, including new product introduction, phase-in/phase-out planning, announcements, documentation updates, and database maintenance. Collaborate with overseas counterparts (e.g., Taiwan HQ) on product and project-related initiatives, including occasional late-hour meetings. Drive partnership-related revenue growth by project support, tracking performance, monitoring KPIs, and aligning activities with revenue targets. Deliver regular updates to Advantech leadership, including partner strategy overviews, sales and campaign analysis, and future growth plans. Identify and cultivate new strategic partnerships; develop joint business and marketing plans in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Report out to software partners for revenue and business results regularly. Monitor industry trends and competitive activities; share insights with internal teams and define go-to-market strategies accordingly. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in product management, business development, or partner management in the software/AIoT/embedded systems domain. Strong understanding of embedded platforms, operating systems (Ubuntu, QNX, etc.), and industrial software ecosystems. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Excellent understanding of software products, technologies, and trends in the tech industry. Experience in revenue growth management, business planning, and partnership development. Proven track record of negotiating and managing complex partnership agreements and relationships, ideally in the software or tech space. Excellent communication and presentation skills, including engaging with executive-level stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, particularly in navigating complex partnership scenarios. Ability to analyze data, track partnership performance, and report on key metrics and KPIs. Collaborative team player with the capability to drive execution across departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Salesforce.com, social media marketing, and SAP is a plus. Familiarity with cloud technologies, SaaS models, and API integrations is a plus.
