Inside Sales Representative Location(s):
Cincinnati, OH – Onsite About This Position Advantech has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Representative (ISR). We provide the tools and training; in exchange, we’re looking for an optimistic attitude, creativity, and commitment to learning and applying your full attention and skills to the challenge of generating growth through account development and sales leveraging Advantech’s product and services. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly motivated, a strong communicator, a team player, and interested in technology and today’s computing trends. Responsibilities Achieves IIoT Technology solutions sales quota, growth, and KPI targets in the assigned territory and product group/market for the primary products. Develops new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations. Solicits new accounts. Responds to new prospect inquiries, campaign leads, and designated marketing campaigns. Maintains follow-up, tracking, and records in Salesforce for Marketing Qualified Leads to Sales Qualified Leads, converting leads into revenue. Works with Key Account sales teams to develop large potential accounts. Develops accounts by reviewing customer buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features. Maintains a practical knowledge of responsible products and applications. Becomes proficient with internal software tools (Salesforce.com and eQuotation) used in quoting and customer tracking. Recommends product enhancements based on market feedback. Collaborates with Marketing on related campaigns or activities. Completes special assignments or tasks from management. Qualifications Technical degree or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated sales experience is required. 2+ years of sales or related market/business experience; experience in technical Industrial Automation or IoT sales is a plus. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take initiative, and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills, high energy, and a positive attitude. Able to work independently or as part of a team, and with a win-oriented mindset. CRM experience (preferably Salesforce). Strong interpersonal communication, social, and presentation skills. Knowledge of PC components, operating systems, and connectivity products (wired/wireless) is a plus. Working knowledge of Automation IO products and their communication protocols is a plus.
