Computer Operator in Information Technology (Part Time) UTHealth Houston is Texas’ resource for healthcare education, innovation, scientific discovery, and excellence in patient care. This role provides basic support to systems administrators, monitors electronic digital computers, and peripheral equipment. Position Summary

Provides basic support to systems administrators, monitors electronic digital computers, and peripheral equipment. Position Key Accountabilities

Monitors multi-systems, mainframes, and servers. Creates daily reports, updates procedures. Performs systems backups and basic troubleshooting on systems including Time Management System (TMS), PeopleSoft Human Resources Management System, Dental Branch AS 400, Physician Billing Systems IDX, and other systems within UTH. Ensures proper security for systems. Ensures data is archived correctly and File Transfer Protocols are completed correctly. Ensures all data that is sent to vendors is retrieved in the correct format and departments are able to read the information. Assists in problem-solving. Works with remote sites on system issues. Provides basic support for upgrades on all systems. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education

Associate\'s degree in Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience in lieu of education. Minimum Experience
