Overview
Ohana Pacific Health is seeking a caring and creative Activities Coordinator to assist the Activities Manager at Hale Makua Health Services in Wailuku, Maui. The role supports an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the residents' interests and their physical, cognitive, and psychosocial well-being, in accordance with comprehensive assessments. Responsibilities
Interviews, assesses and develops an appropriate individualized activity plan for residents as assigned by the Activities Manager. Assist the Activities Manager in maintaining records, audiovisual material, equipment, and supplies. Serves on assigned committees. Assumes the responsibilities of the Activities Manager when the Manager is on paid time off or on leave of absence. Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a social or recreation program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting. Must have understanding of the psychosocial and recreational needs of the residents. Must have basic knowledge of geriatrics and the operation of a long term care facility.
