We are seeking a caring and experienced Lead 1-Year-Old Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally enriching environment for infants and young toddlers. The ideal candidate will implement engaging activities that support early cognitive, motor, and social-emotional growth while fostering a warm and supportive classroom atmosphere. This role requires a NIGHT SHIFT OF 3PM-12AM, patience, attentiveness, and a strong understanding of infant development. The Lead 1-Year-Old Teacher will collaborate with families, mentor classroom assistants, and ensure a structured yet responsive learning space where children can explore, grow, and thrive. Duties
Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for one-year-olds. Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports early cognitive, motor, and social-emotional development. Encourage sensory exploration, movement, and hands-on learning experiences tailored to infants and young toddlers. Maintain a consistent daily routine, including meal times, diapering, naps, and structured play. Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom, following health and safety guidelines. Foster early communication skills through songs, stories, and interactive language activities. Monitor children's progress and provide individualized support based on developmental milestones. Communicate regularly with families, sharing updates on their child's growth and learning experiences. Mentor and collaborate with classroom assistants to maintain a positive and structured learning environment. Create a warm and supportive atmosphere that helps infants feel secure and confident in their exploration. Requirements
Education Required: High school diploma Education Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred Certification: CPR and First Aid certification required; additional childcare-related certifications are a plus Experience: Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting preferred Skills
Strong understanding of infant and toddler development and age-appropriate teaching techniques Ability to create structured routines and engaging learning experiences tailored to one-year-olds Classroom management strategies that foster a safe, nurturing, and responsive learning environment Effective communication skills to collaborate with families and staff Ability to assess and support individual learning needs and developmental milestones Personal Attributes
