Location: Coppell, TX (as listed). We provide training to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and related endorsements where available. We offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage, and employees may enroll in a retirement savings plan. Responsibilities
Provides safe and reliable transportation service by operating a school bus or other location-specific vehicle with a fixed or changing route. Exhibits high ethical standards and personal integrity; reports suspicious or inappropriate behavior to supervision. Reports to duty on time and maintains route adherence in a safe manner. Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency. Immediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy. Follows Company policy regarding student and/or passenger management. Completes all required paperwork (including route change sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests) in a timely manner. Maintains a neat and professional personal appearance at all times. Maintains cooperative relations with colleagues, supervisors, customers, and passengers, promoting company goodwill. Safely and efficiently utilizes vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios and emergency equipment. May perform additional duties as assigned; for Paratransit drivers, additional responsibilities may apply per location. Qualifications / Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age; for Tennessee, at least 25 years of age per state law. Must possess, or be able to obtain, all valid applicable state licenses and certifications to operate company vehicles. Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; safety-sensitive position with random screenings. Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training. Must practice defensive driving and maintain safe driving/work habits. Must comply with all applicable federal, state, and contract-specific driver requirements. Equal Employment Opportunity
