Overview

Intake Coordinator IPF PRN at Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center. The role involves coordinating the pre-admission assessment process, providing clinical assessments for potential patients, and supporting community education on clinical issues. Responsibilities

You will, in conjunction with the Program Director, coordinate the pre-admission assessment process and provide clinical assessments for potential patients. Assist with community education on clinical issues and participate in community events such as health fairs. Understand and train on state and federal standards regarding behavioral health assessment, petition, medical screening and patient rights. Assess and reassess the needs of patients, provide on- and off-site clinical assessments for potential patients, work with hospital departments to manage behavioral health assessment needs, and provide ongoing education to patients and families as needed. Provide resources and support for patients before, during and after treatment; coordinate and participate with appropriate parties and physicians through the patient referral inquiry, admission, treatment and discharge process; model and train other behavioral health team members on managing and tracking inquiry calls; track and report on key indicators related to calls, assessment, and admissions. Qualifications

RN Diploma, or Associate's degree in nursing or in a related mental health field. Prefer 1-3 years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting performing clinical assessments or in a clinical treatment setting. License as a Registered Nurse in Nevada or a LCSW or a LFT or a LPC or a Mental Health Counselor Intern or a LMSW or a Clinical Social Worker. Current BCLS certification required. CPI certification within 30 days of hire. Benefits
