The Relief Residential Advocate provides for the protection of the physical and emotional well-being of shelter residents, delivers crisis intervention services, and supervises volunteers. This role supports residents through intake, crisis response, case documentation, and collaboration with the Program Manager and other staff. Responsibilities

Protect the emotional and physical well-being of residents within program guidelines. Participate in general client and house maintenance tasks (linen/supplies, chore schedules, bed checks, curfew enforcement, alarm checks, and fire drill safety). Provide weekly individual counseling, help clients identify goals, and support plan implementation. Provide trauma-informed care. Conduct primary intake interviews, complete necessary documentation, and determine admission suitability. Answer crisis line and emergency hotline; maintain referrals and records related to crisis response. Attend weekly staff meetings and required in-service trainings; consult with Program Manager as needed. Observe client behavior, document case notes, and maintain daily shift notes and group session notes. Maintain a safe, orderly facility and deliver direct crisis intervention as needed. Lead house and group sessions as assigned; supervise and train new employees and volunteers. Deliver educational presentations, participate in professional meetings, and conduct on-site tours when requested. Maintain shift logs and compliance with the Social Work Code of Ethics. Incorporate guest feedback into program evaluation and improvement. Participate in on-call rotation with Advocates, Senior Managers, and Senior Director. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related area. One year of human service experience. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with relevant populations preferred. Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organization and problem-solving abilities. Valid Colorado driver’s license (background, credit, and driving record checks required). Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Ability to perform routine lifting and movement; climb stairs; and operate in indoor/outdoor environments as described (physically demanding tasks listed in job posting). Compensation and Schedule

Starting pay: $20.30 per hour Part-time/Relief position; may include overnights, weekends, holidays On-call rotation with Residential Advocates, Senior Managers, and Senior Director Location
