The Department of Psychological Science in the College of Arts & Letters at the University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology. This position carries a 4/4 teaching load, is a 10-month position, and is housed on the Dahlonega campus and begins in Fall 2026. We seek a dynamic teacher-scholar whose expertise in applied psychological research will strengthen our Bachelor of Science in Psychology program, which serves over 700 undergraduate majors. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research agenda that engages undergraduate students, teach a range of courses that support the core psychology curriculum, and contribute to departmental service and advising. Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses in area of expertise and core psychology curriculum Engage in scholarly activity with an emphasis on applied research Supervise and mentor undergraduate research projects Contribute to departmental, college, and university service Support student success through advising and engagement Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Psychology or closely related field by the time of appointment Evidence of effective undergraduate teaching A record (or strong potential) of peer-reviewed scholarship Demonstrated commitment to involving undergraduates in research Ability to contribute to a collegial, student-centered academic environment Required Documents to Attach
