Job Title & Location Youth Talent Coordinator
Location: St. Louis, Missouri (Hybrid)
Hybrid Policy: 70% On-Site, 30% Work-from-Home
Job Summary We’re looking for a Youth Talent Coordinator to help keep our photo and video shoots running smoothly and ensure a safe, positive experience for the kids who model for us. In this role, you’ll make sure everything is in place for child models—from checking work permits and tracking hours to coordinating breaks and keeping guardians in the loop. You’ll be the go-to person for making sure we’re following all child labor laws while also creating a welcoming and supportive environment on set.
This position is a great fit for someone who’s organized, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative setting. You’ll manage records and payments, handle scheduling, and communicate with both parents and internal teams to keep everything on track. Responsibilities
Verify that each freelance child model has a valid Entertainment Work Permit before their scheduled call time, ensuring Weissman has received a copy of the approved work permit from the Missouri Department of Labor.
Ensure that a parent, legal custodian, or designated guardian is present with each child model at all times during work; retain written designation records when a different individual accompanies the child.
Confirm permitted working hours, coordinating with school session restrictions and implementing hour limitations according to child labor laws.
Coordinate and monitor mandatory meal and rest breaks, ensuring adherence to required rest periods between workdays for multi-day engagements.
Maintain a safe work environment for all child models, promptly addressing any safety concerns reported by child models or their guardians and halting work if necessary.
Arrange for designated break and play areas for child models, ensuring spaces are comfortable, safe, and suitable for rest or play when not on set.
Maintain thorough records for each child model, including Entertainment Work Permits, scope of work notices, and daily work hour logs, W9s, model waivers, and retain these for two years post-engagement.
Handle talent payment and reimbursements after each week of shooting, ensuring accurate processing and timely distribution.
Execute company policies regarding child models, educating staff on compliance and serving as the primary contact for guardians.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: 1 - 3 years of experience in a professional environment with administrative task management. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience within fashion, media, or entertainment industries.
Skills And Abilities: Ability to be flexible and resilient while working in a creative environment; demonstrates the ability to work autonomously, exercising sound personal judgment while effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment; strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with parents/guardians and internal teams; ability to manage and enforce schedules effectively while ensuring adherence to safety and legal requirements; proficiency with office software, including Google Suite, and comfort with learning new compliance software as needed.
