Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused employee for a Commercial Lines Account Manager role. This role is responsible for managing a book of business, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and risk management solutions within a team-oriented work environment. An ideal candidate would have either 3 years of experience in commercial insurance or a comparable skill set / experience to account management. Base pay range

Client Relationship Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, carriers, and co-workers. Conduct regular policy reviews and proactively identify coverage gaps or opportunities. Processing and coordinating renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations. Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with underwriters to negotiate terms and pricing. New Business & Renewals:

Assist producers with marketing and placement of new and renewal business. Prepare proposals and presentations for clients. Analyze risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance solutions. Compliance & Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files in the agency management system. Ensure compliance with agency procedures and industry regulations. Work closely with producers, underwriters, and other internal departments. Qualifications

3 years of experience

in commercial lines insurance or equivalent in a related field. Active Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products including General Liability, Property, Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto, and Umbrella. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well within a team, build and maintain strong relationships with co-workers and management. Preferred Qualifications

Insurance designations such as CIC, CISR, or CPCU. Experience with mid-market to large commercial accounts. Familiarity with industry-specific risks (e.g., construction, manufacturing, healthcare).
