Overview
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be a "player/coach" who calls on customers and leads a team in a territory covering Kansas, eastern Colorado, Nebraska, and Missouri. The RSM will call on and manage a territory of large operations, calf ranches, feed yards, large cow calf customers and dairy operations for the company's product portfolio. The majority of customers will be beef cattle. The RSM will manage a team of Territory Sales Representatives (TSR) and is responsible for motivating team members to exceed expectations and achieve sales goals/metrics while growing and developing relationships with key accounts in the region. This role is field-based, with substantial time spent in the territory; the incumbent’s office will be at home.
Responsibilities
Directly lead and coach the Territory Sales Representatives to meet or exceed sales goals and metrics.
Call on and manage relationships with large cattle operations, calf ranches, feed yards, cow calf and dairy customers within the territory.
Develop and grow relationships with key accounts in the region.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product adoption and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Agriculture, Animal Science or related field.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in sales leadership or similar roles within the veterinary or healthcare industry.
Prior experience calling cattle operations.
Pro-active mindset and strong communication skills.
Ability to travel regionally and to national events/meetings.
Demonstrated ability to manage a successful team.
