The Sustainability Solutions Account Executive manages and grows the Sustainability and Energy Savings business in Texas and Louisiana within multiple public sector vertical markets, most specifically the education market. Knowledge of the energy services and construction industry is helpful, but success will rely on high-level strategic selling capabilities within public sector markets in this region. Identify market needs, develop sales strategies to address customer objectives, and develop solutions to help clients improve their facilities, operations, and profitability. As a Sustainability Solutions Account Executive, you will collaborate with multiple Siemens divisions and local branch offices to position Siemens as a preferred provider for building retrofit projects, performance contracting solutions, and other energy-related improvement projects with comprehensive procurement processes. Responsibilities
Maintain executive, C-level relationships within identified accounts; identify and qualify sales leads individually and with cross-divisional sales teams; develop sales funnel and implement customer-specific sales plans. Establish relationships within the public sector administrative community. Manage sophisticated deals independently within established guidelines; consult with customers to understand financial goals, uncover challenges, and define long-term infrastructure solutions; develop a strategic approach to secure business within your vertical market. Secure customer contracts and develop financing options to move projects forward; coordinate with operations, finance, legal, and other resources to ensure smooth sales-to-operations turnover prior to construction. Ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle; collaborate with Marketing on customer communications and outreach; team-sell with other salespeople when appropriate and beneficial. Participate in civic and professional organizations; stay current on market trends and understand customer drivers to develop tailored value propositions and account strategies. Complete needs assessments, financial justifications, proposals and presentations; prepare sales activity, forecast, and expense reports with travel up to 50% locally. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications 5-8+ years of executive consultative selling experience providing complex solutions and/or financial transactions that underwrite construction (e.g., underwriting bonds). High school diploma. Ability to plan, navigate, and negotiate sales processes. Strong understanding of customer business drivers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Excellent organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. This position supports a Siemens customer that requires all employees and vendors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 where permitted by applicable law and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing. Relationship or history with local clients, specifically the public sector. Strategic selling capabilities.
