Responsibilities
As a Member Service Representative, you’ll work under the leadership of the Assistant Branch Manager to serve as the primary agent for building member relationships through education about Credit Union products and services. Adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures to ensure ethical and compliant business practices while performing various transactions and service requests accurately and efficiently.
Greets members and provides information regarding transactions, products, and services. Takes responsibility for fulfilling member service requests, including account opening, access services, maintenance, domestic wires, loan applications, and funding within authorized signing authority. Adheres to all branch processes, procedures, policies, and compliance regulations.
Demonstrates a commitment to learning and thoroughly understanding all Credit Union deposit and loan products and services.
Performs individual settlement procedures and balances MSR cash drawer, daily transactions, and assists with branch balancing.
Actively engages in relationship-building by educating and referring Credit Union products and services and directs members to the appropriate department or resource for further information and services as necessary.
Deescalates challenging member situations by problem-solving, exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills, while demonstrating a special effort to say yes.
Remains vigilant and aware of surroundings and reports unusual or suspicious behavior, activity, or inconsistencies.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience – One year of related experience is required.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Interpersonal Skills:
Requires significant contact with others inside and outside the Credit Union; confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy, and tact in communication; ability to build relationships and provide friendly, helpful, and efficient service; good verbal communication; patience, active listening, and sound judgment; ability to explain financial concepts clearly and concisely.
Other Skills:
Proficient Microsoft Office skills; ability to learn core system and related software; cognitive reasoning, ownership, ability to work independently and in a team; motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and efficient with multitasking; ability to work in a professional, fast-paced environment; physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
