Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner. Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions. Proactively recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability. Present price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles. Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns over the phone. Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items. Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery. Increase sales and average order size by cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and offering promotional sale items. Educate customers on features and benefits of products to improve product-related sales and customer satisfaction. Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite when necessary. Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. Fill customer requests for catalogs, information, or samples. Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes, and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor trainings, and trade shows. Setup and maintain customer files within the company CRM. Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction to ensure higher levels of service in future transactions. Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products. Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts. Prepare and submit weekly call reports and monthly sales. Any other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned. Your Qualifications

Minimum of 18 years of age. If operating a Company Vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required. A minimum of one-year business-to-business sales experience. Strong presentation, communication, organization, multitasking, and time management skills. Solid problem solving and consultative skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced team sales environment with minimum supervision. Experience with MS Office Suite. Education

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting boxes or packages under 20 lbs., and remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time.
