We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Property Accountant to join our Charlotte, NC team. Property Accountant Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple properties. Monitor/analyze GL accounts, adjust journal entries. Prepare/record journal entries for revenues, banking activity, monthly accruals and other property activity. Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate cash flow records. Prepare/maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts. Track required payments and ensure items are paid timely, i.e. taxes, insurance, debt service, distributions. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing. Assist with preparation of supporting materials for audit and tax return process. Assist with recording of property-related transactions such as purchase/sale or refinancing. Property Accountant Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferred (supplemental work experience accepted). 2+ years of experience in property accounting or related role. Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience required. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Yardi Voyager required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and deadlines. Experience performing and prioritizing multiple overlapping tasks. Job Details
