Join the University of Missouri-Columbia as the Program/Project Support Coordinator II – Outreach Coordinator with the Missouri Telehealth Network (MTN) and Show-Me ECHO. This role supports outreach, recruitment, and engagement activities to expand participation and awareness across Missouri.
Job Summary The Outreach Coordinator supports the mission of MTN and Show-Me ECHO by coordinating recruitment, outreach, and engagement activities in alignment with strategic plans, funding requirements, and organizational priorities. The position involves recruiting healthcare professionals to join Show-Me ECHO programs, educating individuals and organizations about MTN initiatives, and representing the program at conferences, stakeholder meetings, and public forums. Strong communication, the ability to translate complex information clearly, and professionalism in diverse settings are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Outreach and Recruitment
Develop, coordinate, and implement participant recruitment plans for assigned ECHO programs.
Support provider recruitment and retention through strategic planning, direct outreach, and conference participation.
Maintain current knowledge about the ECHO model, methodology, and evaluation processes.
Deliver engaging presentations to stakeholder groups, healthcare associations, and professional audiences to promote program participation.
Assess the effectiveness of recruitment activities and recommend improvement strategies.
Serve as an outreach liaison to community organizations, healthcare systems, and providers across Missouri.
Program and Project Coordination
Coordinate support functions for ECHO programs to meet objectives efficiently within resources and timelines.
Develop and monitor implementation plans for outreach and engagement efforts.
Analyze program data, budgets, and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist in resolving operational issues related to outreach, marketing, and training using sound judgment and program knowledge.
Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives.
Marketing and Communications Collaboration
Partner with MTN marketing to develop and review promotional materials, ensuring accuracy and branding alignment.
Identify opportunities for MTN and Show-Me ECHO to share program successes through publications, presentations, and public outreach.
Maintain effective cross-team communication to align outreach with broader organizational goals.
Core Expectations
Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and ethical standards in all interactions.
Adhere to University of Missouri policies and procedures.
Represent MTN and the University positively in internal and external engagements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of MTN and Show-Me ECHO operations and outreach initiatives.
Collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
Working Relationships The Outreach Coordinator is part of the MTN outreach and recruitment team and works closely with program staff, faculty experts, and external partners. This position reports to MTN leadership and plays a key role in expanding the reach, participation, and impact of Show-Me ECHO programs across Missouri.
Shift Mon–Fri, 8 am – 5 pm.
Minimum Qualifications A
Bachelor's degree
or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus
2 years of experience
from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired, is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in outreach, recruitment, marketing, or program coordination, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit settings.
Familiarity with Missouri healthcare delivery systems, especially in rural or underserved areas.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
Public speaking and presentation experience to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience collaborating with marketing and communications teams on outreach initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits Anticipated Hiring Range: Salary Range $21.71 – $31.33 hourly
