A Team Home Services is looking for an experienced Lead Commercial Framer to add to our remodeling department. This role is specifically for commercial projects, but team members can transition to residential if project slow down. The Commercial Framer Lead is responsible for leading a framing crew in the construction of commercial buildings, ensuring all structural framing is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. This role includes hands-on framing duties, crew supervision, material planning, and quality control. The ideal candidate is a skilled carpenter with strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of commercial framing methods and building codes.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a crew of framers on commercial construction sites
Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure project timelines are met
Train and mentor crew members in safe and efficient framing practices
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
Perform advanced framing tasks, including layout, cutting, and assembly of wood or metal framing systems
Ensure framing work meets structural specifications, industry standards, and local building codes
Conduct regular job site inspections to ensure accuracy and quality
Enforce safety policies and procedures; participate in daily toolbox talks
Identify and resolve construction or safety issues promptly
Coordinate framing activities with other trades and site supervisors
Communicate project progress and material needs to supervisors
Assist in ordering and staging materials to minimize downtime and waste
Qualifications
4+ years commercial framing/carpentry experience
High school diploma or equivalent
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred but not required
Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training
Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools
Understanding of commercial building codes and regulations
Strong knowledge of wood and metal stud framing
Attention to detail and precision in work
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Valid driver\'s license
Provide 3 references
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, or scaffolding
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods
Pay rate
$25-$30 hourly
