CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa
This is a full-time, on-site IT Specialist position at our resort in Carefree, AZ. The role will be primarily Monday through Friday, however, the ability to work evenings and weekends is required as needed.
Overview
The IT Specialist is responsible for providing onsite and remote technical support to resort staff, maintaining and optimizing IT systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations. This role covers desktop and server support, network troubleshooting, and the management of hospitality-specific systems (e.g., PMS, POS) to ensure exceptional service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities
Provide timely onsite and phone-based technical support to staff across all departments. Manage and maintain the helpdesk/ticketing system; document resolutions and update technical records. Support and maintain Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure. Administer backup systems, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and maintain network security. Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, printers, and other network devices. Provide hands-on desktop support, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software. Support resort-specific systems, including property management, point-of-sale, etc. Assist with IT asset inventory, equipment setup, and software licensing compliance. Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to critical after-hours issues. Collaborate with team members and vendors to ensure smooth system integrations and updates. Required Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; college degree in IT or related field preferred. Ideally 1 year in a technology support or IT administration role. Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange/365, backup systems, and network administration. Hands-on experience with desktop support, basic server and email administration, and consumer-grade firewall configuration. Excellent oral/written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a hospitality environment and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Preferred Certifications
