Cardiac Sonographer Qualifications: Level I Cardiac Sonographer: Graduate of a two-year Allied Health Training Program in Ultrasound Technology or a bachelor’s in health science; 0-4 years imaging experience; ARDMS/RDCS (AE) or CCI (RCS); BLS at time of hire; NM State Licensure under NMRTT. Level II Cardiac Sonographer: Similar education; 4-8 years imaging experience; ARDMS/RDCS (AE) or CCI (RCS); BLS; NMRTT licensure; degree/experience substitution noted. Level III Cardiac Sonographer: Similar education; 8+ years experience; degree required or 10 years of relevant experience; ARDMS/RDCS (AE) or CCI (RCS); BLS; NMRTT licensure. Cardio Invasive Specialist Qualifications: Education: Associate degree in Invasive Cardiovascular / Cardiopulmonary Technologist, radiology, respiratory therapy or nursing; Surgical Tech with a 1-year min program for specific roles. Experience: 3 years + 2+ years preferred in cardiovascular invasive roles; 1 year direct patient care preferred. Licensing: RCIS/RCES or RCIS/ARRT pathways; BLS; ACLS/PALS as applicable; NM licensure. CT/MRI/Nuclear/Radiology/Ultrasound/Respiratory/OT/PT/SLP/Speech/CP Roles: CT Technologist: Associate degree; NM CT License or Provisional License; ARRT; BLS. MRI Technician: High School diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred; NM MRT license; ARRT MR or ARMRIT; BLS; trainee options as applicable. Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Associate degree; NM Nuclear Medicine; ARRT(N) or NMTCB; BLS; credential timing as described. Radiologic Technologist: High school diploma; NM RRT or temp NM radiography tech; ARRT R.T.(R); BLS; associate degree preferred; 1-year to obtain ARRT. Ultrasound Specialist: Associate degree; NM CT license or provisional; ARRT; BLS. Respiratory Therapist: Associate degree; NBRC; NM licensure; BLS; ACLS/PALS; critical care experience preferred. Respiratory Therapist Extern: High school diploma; NM training permit; BLS.
