Manager of Provider Integration

will be responsible for the oversight of the integration of new providers while focusing on improving efficiency in the integration process in an effort to improve patient, physician and employee satisfaction. This position establishes and maintains standard implementation processes in all regions for practices affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health Medical Group (HMHMG) by coordinating the efforts of provider enrollment, HR, Clinical Applications, practice operations and integration with hospital leaders and appropriate departments. The Physician Onboarding Manager provides subject matter expertise and leads the integration of providers to Hackensack Meridian Health. The role supports the establishment of working relationships between hospital administrative teams, HMHMG Practice Operations and physicians who are newly hired, in practices recently acquired or in new practice facilities. The primary focus is to provide project management oversight to the transition of a physician/practice into or out of HMHMG. It also covers integration into the service area community to raise awareness of new services and specialists, as well as offboarding of physicians. This role supports onboarding from 90 days prior to start date and onwards through 120 days post start date.

Responsibilities

Serve as an expert on onboarding policies and procedures for assigned new physicians. Orient new providers and coordinate appropriate training. Communicate across all involved parties within the onboarding process, including Senior Leadership, Recruitment, Contracting, Revenue Cycle, Business Development, Human Resources, Medical Staff, Operations, and Marketing to ensure a streamlined onboarding process for Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Serve as an advocate and onboarding liaison for the assigned newly recruited physicians. Collaborate with internal stakeholders responsible for onboarding functions (e.g., recruitment, credentialing, practice management, marketing, physician leadership) to ensure onboarding tasks are completed. Provide timely and accurate updates for new providers in the pipeline. Develop and maintain knowledge of databases used for onboarding (e.g., Marketware, iCIMS, Peoplesoft/Oracle, Credential Stream) or any new system that may be engaged by HMHMG. Manage the integration process of all new physicians joining the medical staff, including Welcome Kit, office setup, credentialing, payer enrollment, marketing, community integration, orientation and employment. Develop tracking and reporting to ensure milestones and target dates are met. Continually analyze and implement improvements to the onboarding process. Assign a peer partner to new providers and maintain 30/60/90-day check-ins to assess onboarding completeness. Develop and maintain relationships with resources to support the integration of new physician recruits into the community. Schedule and follow up on onboarding steps in collaboration with MSO, Contracting, and Practice operations. Support Operations and Business Development to ensure a smooth onboarding process for providers joining current employed or leased practices. Ensure all new Physicians and APPs understand the onboarding process and timelines to secure start dates. Collaborate with Marketing to design and purchase branded materials to share with new physicians and APPs; ensure information on the Find a Doc site is accurate and complete. Create templates for communication, orientation, introductions, and initial provider schedules to ensure consistent onboarding. Develop and implement a process and survey to follow up with new physicians after acceptance and during the first 12 months of integration to identify recruitment issues and concerns. Understand operational details of onboarding to identify process improvements and interpret contract implications on onboarding. Document onboarding process metrics and enter data into the reporting system; prepare onboarding metrics and related reports per defined requirements. Lead meetings and conference calls to identify potential process risks early; identify improvement opportunities based on feedback and data. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

BA or BS in marketing, business, management or related field plus a minimum of three (3) years in physician recruitment, physician relations or physician practice management, OR a high school diploma/GED plus five (5) years of relevant experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite).

Compensation

Minimum rate of $111,924.80 Annually. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.

Job Duties and Other Details

The starting rate of pay is informational and not a guarantee of a specific offer. Posted rates may appear as annual salaries or hourly rates depending on duties. Base compensation may differ based on non-discriminatory factors including labor market data, experience, education and certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and funding. Some jobs may be eligible for performance-based incentives or shift differentials.
