Performance Nutrition Operations Coordinator

The Performance Nutrition Operations Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting the Performance Nutrition department to develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive program within Wisconsin Athletics that aligns with the overall goals and mission of the athletic department. This position assists with the daily management of foodservice and training table operations, including inventory, ordering, and student-staff oversight, while also coordinating team meal logistics and communication with Levy staff. This role reports directly to the Director of Performance Nutrition. Key areas of focus

Coordinate inventory management, order placement, deliveries, and equipment maintenance. Assist Performance Nutrition staff with the recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of student workers. Lead the scheduling and training of student workers. Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily tasks, including stocking and travel product lists. Oversee cleaning and sanitation protocols to maintain compliance with health and safety standards. Track, document, and reconcile expenses in an organized and timely manner; provide regular budget and expense updates. Collaborate with team staff to coordinate logistics for team meals at home (schedule management, check-ins, vouchers). Create prep sheets for Levy staff to execute team meals. Serve as the primary point of contact for Red Card administration. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Job Responsibilities

Assists with unit budget monitoring, management of inventory levels, and staff training Develops, implements and oversees workflow components, and assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff Monitors adherence to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures, identifies needs and makes recommendations for improvement to leadership Selects, develops, implements and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities Department

The minimum salary of this position is $48,107, depending on qualifications and experience. Administratively self-sufficient; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Sheets and Drive. Ability to kneel, crouch, lift, carry, and move inventory up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Nutrition or Hospitality) from an accredited institution preferred. Ability to work cooperatively and build strong working relationships with diverse groups, including administrators, faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Work well independently and in team settings. Flexibility in accepting new responsibilities. Excellent communication skills to work with student-athletes, coaches, and support staff. Knowledge of NCAA and Big Ten rules. At least one year of related supervisory and/or foodservice experience. Experience working within sports nutrition (collegiate or professional). Education
