Citi Commercial Bank - Loan Syndications Associate: Join to apply for the Citi Commercial Bank - Loan Syndications Associate role at Citi. The Loan Syndications Associate provides analytical and execution support to deliver customized debt solutions to Citi’s Commercial Bank clients and works as part of a deal team with Vice Presidents, Senior Transactors, and colleagues across multiple groups to originate and execute transactions. Responsibilities
Support deal origination by drafting pitch materials incorporating an analysis of capital structure, credit profile, publicly available data on companies and transactions, and industry research. Prepare market comparables, initial due diligence lists, deal pre-screen presentations, and draft indicative term sheets. Track and summarize loan market conditions in client materials, with a focus on the Middle Market segment of the US Loan Market. Execute lead-arranged transactions by preparing organization books, drafting marketing materials (Confidential Information Memorandums, lender presentations, and pre-screening memorandums), organizing and managing bank meetings, participating in and tracking lender interaction and diligence, and managing the deal closing process. Support the review of financing documents, including commitment letters, fee letters, engagement letters, and credit agreements. Coordinate with other Citi groups (Coverage, Underwriting, Risk, Operations) and other product groups to meet pitch and deal-related deliverables and deadlines. Develop and maintain effective industry relationships with legal counsel, external parties, clients, and internal partners (in collaboration with senior coverage officers and VPs/Senior Transactors). Develop business and credit judgment to provide balanced assessments in working with internal teams and partners. Maintain a strong attention to detail, deliver high quality work product, and complete work within assigned timeframes. Qualifications
2-3 years of banking experience, preferably with loan syndication, asset-based finance, or capital markets experience Completion of formal credit training program preferred Fundamental credit skills, including the ability to evaluate business, industry, financial performance, and structure/terms Strong financial and analytic skills, including proficiency with financial modeling and the ability to rapidly assimilate complex information Excellent command of Microsoft Office, with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel High energy, enthusiasm, and motivation Team player with strong partnership skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability and excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills Obtain and maintain required FINRA registration and licensing Education
