We are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family as a
Counter Sales associate , the face of the retail store who helps customers with all automotive needs. A background and knowledge of automotive parts is helpful. This is a great opportunity whether you want to build a long-term career as a Parts Specialist, work full-time or part-time, or explore other roles at NAPA.
Overview As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the primary point of contact for customers entering our store. You will provide automotive parts assistance and ensure a positive customer experience.
What You’ll Do
Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone
Use your parts knowledge to help other NAPA team members answer customer questions
Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits the NAPA Store
Maintain a customer-focused and high-energy approach in a fast-paced environment
Welcome customers into the store and engage to ensure a positive experience
Utilize technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog systems
This Is The Right Opportunity For You If You
Genuinely enjoy helping retail and wholesale customers with auto parts and service questions
Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy tinkering with cars and trucks
Are willing to learn all things automotive if you don’t have the background
Want to join a team with opportunities to learn and grow your career
What You’ll Need
Valid Driver’s License
Experience in a parts store or automotive industry or willingness to learn
High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
Strong listening skills and empathy for customers
And If You Have This, Even Better (Not a Deal Breaker If You Don’t)
Background and/or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership
Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision
Knowledge of cataloging or inventory management systems
Customer-centric mindset
ASE Certifications
