As an Sales Account Specialist, you will serve as the key transactional point of contact for our customers by delivering exceptional customer service through phone support and general assistance, including handling sales quotes, sales orders, and product/technical support inquiries. Key duties involve managing RMAs and product returns, setting up new accounts, supporting item crossovers, and entering new opportunities into the system. The position requires proactive selling to both existing and new accounts, communicating promotions, and providing general project and partner portal support. The role also supports overflow tasks from other specialists, ensuring seamless service across all customer touchpoints. Responsibilities

Provide direct customer support via phone and email.

Process customer purchase orders by accurately creating and entering sales orders into the ERP system, ensuring alignment with pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.

Process item crossovers from competitor products to ABUS equivalents.

Prepare and deliver product sales quotes as requested.

Maintain accurate customer account records, including general and customer-specific pricing in the ERP system.

Manage automated customer service platforms, including EDI systems and other portals.

Guide customers on ABUS products and services, offering recommendations and alternative solutions.

Engage in proactive selling to both existing and prospective accounts.

Process RMAs and product returns, coordinating with internal departments to ensure accuracy and completion.

Troubleshoot and resolve customer information discrepancies in the ERP system, including pricing, contact details, and routing information.

Take ownership of the customer account relationship, acting as a one-stop shop for all customer interactions and ensuring a seamless experience.

Take ownership of assigned tasks and collaborate with other departments to meet customer needs.

Prioritize error corrections with urgency to maintain customer trust.

Organize, track, and report progress on assignments to the Director of Sales and Customer Management.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree or high school diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor\'s degree strongly preferred.

Industry knowledge preferred

Demonstrated experience in sales, ideally with a focus on account management or business development.

Passionate desire to provide the best possible experience for our customers.

Fiercely dedicated to excellent attendance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively and build rapport

Able to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams

Strong computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs.

Experience with ERP’s and CRM’s a must

Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a team environment

Must be a good listener with above average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes. Must be a good learner whom can assimilate product knowledge and skills as they are presented.
