Key Account Manager - Foodology

Univar Solutions . We are looking for a motivated and experienced Key Account Manager (KAM) to join our Food team. The KAM is responsible for building profitable sales for all key national accounts through additional sales with current customers and demonstrates dedication to prospecting and new business development. It uses a sales approach that focuses on building a long-term, value-based relationship with accounts for further business and improving the margin. What you’ll do
Improve Univar Solutions’ position within each assigned account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account Build and implement short, medium and long-term customer growth strategies Using a consultative sales approach, discover new business opportunities and grow Univar Solutions' presence at existing key accounts. Keep detailed records of all activities in Salesforce Provide professional input on complex assignments and projects and provide direction to more junior professionals Responsible for setting pricing and service levels, maintaining and coordinating customer quotations, or providing vital information to allow local branches to do so Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure accurate inventory levels and overall customer satisfaction What you’ll need
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience managing large corporate accounts in the Food (raw chemicals) industry Sales experience in manufacturing, distribution or specialty chemical industry sales is preferred Bachelor’s degree is preferred Deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market or the needs/challenges of assigned accounts Strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers and internal teammates Excellent digital literacy, including MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com Strong business acumen, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users Effective negotiation skills Where you'll work
