This is a remote (work from home in Chula Vista, CA) opportunity overseeing the Chula Vista, CA territory. Starting salary is $58,656 per year with a tenure-based compensation plan that allows earning potential to increase after each year-long recruitment cycle. Responsibilities
Has a servant’s heart. Host and implement event/activity plans for your territory to build awareness of our academic programs and campus community and drive inquiry generation. Provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and their families through in-person, phone, email, text, or Zoom, championing the GCE mission and promoting student success and institutional growth. Hustles. Connect with community college students, faculty, and staff in local community colleges and engage all major stakeholders in your territory. Maintain a full schedule that includes fairs, school visits, presentations, community/campus events, and hosting campus visits. Bleeds purple. Represent Grand Canyon University in your territory and contribute to its transformation and growth. Is purposeful. This is a work-from-home role with ambitious targets. Work independently to support prospective GCU campus students and families through the admissions process, guiding them toward a successful campus experience. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree. No delinquency or default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current on payments. Outstanding time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and travel as needed. Clear communication and engaging presentation skills. Comfortable communicating in person, in writing, and on the phone. Strong listening skills. Self-motivation and drive to succeed. Willing to take on new challenges and own your time with students. High emotional intelligence. Ability to coach a diverse group of students and families and build relationships with community colleges and staff. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, a flexible schedule, and willingness to travel. Moderate to extensive travel; some events may occur evenings/weekends. For those outside Phoenix, travel to Phoenix 1–3 times per month. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other digital tools.
