New Horizons of Southwest Florida
Overview
New Horizons is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering K-12 students with the resources they need to be successful in school and life. Through our after-school tutoring and mentoring programs, we reach hundreds of students in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers, providing over 200,000 hours of free after-school tutoring and mentoring annually. Our mission is to ensure our students graduate from high school with a plan for their future.
Role Description
Manages all aspects of a Super Teens Club and College Bound site to ensure that the program meets the educational and spiritual objectives and is managed in accordance with policies and procedures. Supervises all staff and volunteers assigned to the site to provide well-coordinated academic assistance to students. Meets with parents, collaborators, donors and visitors to display the site and the program positively. Prepares a productive and engaging environment for students and volunteers which includes mentoring and tutoring students.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year College or University in education or related field is preferred
At least one year in a supervisory or leadership position is preferred
Previous experience working with children is required
