Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our inflammation group. The candidate will be responsible for characterizing and optimizing pre-clinical models of autoimmune diseases, such as colitis, and fibrotic diseases, such as fibrosis, for evaluation of novel inflammatory therapeutics. Title will be commensurate with industry experience and previous track record of research article/patent publication.
Key Responsibilities
Design, conduct, analyze, and report in vivo studies to support preclinical research objectives.
Develop, optimize, and characterize preclinical models, particularly for inflammatory and fibrotic diseases.
Interface with cross-functional project teams and present findings at departmental and team meetings.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on study design and execution.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s in a relevant scientific discipline with at least 6 years of industry experience in in vivo pharmacology, or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline with at least 4 years of industry experience in in vivo pharmacology.
Hands-on experience with mouse models of inflammatory diseases (e.g., experimentally induced colitis, fibrosis).
Proficiency in mouse handling techniques including IV, PO, SC, and IP dosing, necropsy, and tissue collection.
Experience with lymphocyte FACS sorting, magnetic bead-based cell isolation, and multi-color flow cytometry (10+ colors).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent degree with 0–3 years of research experience in industry or academic settings.
Deep understanding of biological pathways involved in inflammatory disease pathogenesis.
Prior experience in developing and characterizing mouse models for preclinical research.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly across teams.
Experience in ex vivo analysis and data interpretation related to immune cell profiling.
Salary range for this position is $146,540.00 - $189,640.00. Compensation is based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. This role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance).
