We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Senior Scientist to support Gilead’s growing ADC portfolio. The successful candidate will be an integral member of a high performing research team dedicated to characterizing antibodies, payloads, as well as ADCs. They will leverage cell-based assays and in vivo models to support the advancement of ADC projects aimed at improving the life of cancer patients. The position will be embedded in a highly cross-functional matrix and requires excellent organizational and communication skills. Specific Responsibilities
Independently plan, execute, analyze, troubleshoot, and interpret in vitro and ex-/in-vivo experiments evaluating cancer targets, antibodies, small molecules, as well as ADCs Proactively evaluate new technologies and develop new assays to accelerate early-stage discovery activities and/or enhance understanding of the mechanism of action of ADCs with various payloads Use appropriate mathematical, statistical, and plotting tools/software to analyze and present experimental data with good communication skills Support multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally Present research findings and recommendations to senior staff and contribute to preparation of research reports, manuscripts, and regulatory document filings Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience OR Master’s degree and 6 years of experience OR PhD/ PharmD Preferred Qualifications
PhD; 3+ years relevant industry experience and postdoctoral training preferred Experience working with cell-based assays and aseptic techniques Strong expertise with antibody-drug conjugates in vitro and ex vivo Expertise in cytotoxicity assays, flow cytometry, cell cycle analysis, protein analysis, ELISA, receptor density determination, and CRISPR-based editing Experience in cell sorting is a plus Experience with organoid models and 3D cell culture is a plus Prior experience working with external partners and CROs Able to work under tight deadlines in a high-performance environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate across disciplines People Leader Accountabilities

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Actual compensation will vary. This position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package.
