Senior Project Director, Pipeline and Facilities
based out of our Houston office.
Overview ARM Energy is headquartered in Houston, TX, with offices in Calgary, Los Angeles, and Nashville. ARM Energy is a premier energy marketing and infrastructure firm, active in every sector of the energy value chain across all major North American oil and gas basins.
Position Overview The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of natural gas pipeline and compressor station design, permitting, regulatory requirements, along with strong leadership and communications skills. This position is accountable for project planning, design development and execution, including creation of project schedules, cost estimates, and scopes of work.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop AFE generation, scopes of work, detailed estimates, construction contracts and other duties to support project development and execution
Lead projects from front-end development throughout construction; including identifying business objectives, defining scope, building costs estimates and schedules, developing and overseeing execution plans
Actively manage project risks by identifying risks and implementing risk mitigation plans
Coordinate with internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets
Monitor and control project progress, executing disciplined change management
Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization and align expectations about a project’s scope, objectives, expectations, and outcomes
Assist with the overall execution of large-scale capital projects
Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
Project Management Professional or Professional Engineer certification preferred
15-25 years of progressive project experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience working as a Project Manager
Experience executing both small ( Project management experience in the pipeline industry
Fluent in project management procedures and execution practices
Demonstrated knowledge of Department of Transportation Minimum Federal Safety Standards, Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 192
Ability to work within a small entrepreneurial team environment to achieve on-time and on-budget results
Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and prioritize tasks
Understanding of regulatory requirements
Fluent in English, oral and written required
Skills
Ability to work with outside EPC firms to execute capital projects
Ability to effectively communicate and interface with customers
Ability to address and handle confidential issues and materials on a regular basis
Ability to accept changes and quickly align resources to effect outcomes
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
