Senior Pipeline Engineer!
In this role, you will be a part of the Pipeline Engineering team in the Energy Services organization, based in the Houston Office, with the opportunity to work on the broad range of renewable, natural gas or oil projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
A role performing engineering design, providing direction and coordinating with others to complete project tasks.
Project Management for oil and gas projects.
Scheduling, cost estimating, reporting for pipeline and pipeline facility projects.
Oil and gas project experience, understanding of CFR Parts 192 and 195.
Problem‑solving skills and ability to find resolutions with no oversight.
Pipeline Engineers can perform with no oversight – hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pipe spec, HDD calculations, workspace layout, prepare alignment sheets, site specific drawings, feasibility studies, routing, construction planning, IFB and IFC design packages, cost estimates, material take‑offs, etc.
Understanding of CAD and GIS applications and how they can be used to assist in completing work deliverables.
Coordination with project staff such as right‑of‑way, environmental, survey to complete tasks and finalize deliverables.
Will provide direction to junior/intermediate engineers and designers to complete plot plans, plan and profile drawings, site specifics, alignment sheets, HDDs, material take‑off, etc.
Will provide direction to junior/intermediate engineers to complete data analysis, drawing and mapping assignments.
Interacts with various personnel, clients and stakeholders during assigned projects.
Organized and has an understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality requirements. Can implement procedures in regard to reviewing, documenting, validating, monitoring and improvement.
Can provide proposal writing, scope development and the preparation of execution plans.
Ability to travel for field exercises, reconnaissance, field truthing, verification, surveys, etc. as projects dictate.
Understanding of safe work practices, support project specific safety plans and willingness to participate in the workplace safety initiatives and culture.
What Your Experience Looks Like
Previous experience working for natural gas or liquid pipeline operators or engineering consultants.
Major project experience of pipelines and pipeline facilities (valves, traps, meters, etc.).
Experience managing junior/intermediate engineers to complete design deliverables.
Experience coordinating with clients or project management experience to achieve scope completion on schedule and within budget.
Experience scheduling, cost estimating, reporting for pipeline and pipeline facility projects.
Actual design experience, completing design calculations, reviewing and understanding specifications and code, providing oversight for the preparation of design drawings, reviewing drawings and approving them.
A PE is mandatory with ability to gain PE license through reciprocity in additional states as projects dictate.
