The HOMEBUILDERS (PACT) program is an evidence-based model which has been rated as a Well Supported family preservation program by the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse. Emphasis is on child safety and keeping the family together. Position overview:

The HOMEBUILDERS (PACT) Specialist is primarily responsible for providing intensive family preservation services using the HOMEBUILDERS (PACT) model, including crisis intervention, counseling, skill building, concrete services, and advocacy. The role typically serves two to three families whose children are at imminent risk of out-of-home placement or who are in placement and cannot be reunified without intensive in-home services. Services are primarily rendered in client homes. This position operates under regular supervision and follows agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements. Essential Job Responsibilities

Conduct clinical interventions consistent with HOMEBUILDERS (PACT) standards, using clinical, concrete, and advocacy services to family members. Conduct data collection and reporting in a thorough and timely manner. Provide client-interactive, comprehensive, strength- and behavior-focused assessments. Collaborate with family members and referents to develop intervention goals and service plans related to out-of-home placement risk; monitor progress and adjust goals as needed. Serve as a client and family advocate, providing concrete goods and services such as transportation related to the family’s goals and teaching families to meet these needs independently. Back-up and support other specialists as needed. Comply with HOMEBUILDERS (PACT) service definitions and guidelines. Assess home safety and use clinical strategies to promote safety. Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts. Be available to clients 24/7 as needed and arrange coverage when required. Keep up-to-date progress notes and submit weekly production reports to supervisor in a timely manner per contract, agency expectations, and program policy. Use appropriate systems for data gathering and tracking of client services as required by contract and policy. Conduct weekly family sessions as outlined in HOMEBUILDERS (PACT) standards. Collaborate with supervisor to implement quality enhancement or improvement plans. Establish and maintain referrals and community resources. Facilitate flexible appointment times outside regular hours and work non-traditional hours in the community as needed. Attend weekly meetings with supervisor to review case plans and progress; attend weekly group consultations with the HOMEBUILDERS (PACT) team. Stay informed of community resources and refer families as needed; stay current on regulatory requirements and funding-related trainings. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Human Services, or related field with at least two (2) years of experience with children and families, or a Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field with relevant experience. Experience working with children and families from diverse cultures with cultural sensitivity. Excellent clinical and crisis intervention skills; knowledge of state, community, and agency resources. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to engage a wide range of clients with a nonjudgmental attitude and empower clients. Ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service; ability to work independently with high confidentiality. Willingness to work outside normal hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) as client issues arise. Residence within sixty minutes of most families served. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S.; pass Motor Vehicle Records check and maintain reliable vehicle with insurance. Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection registries. Commitment to and alignment with the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Unity.
