This role supports HR operations at site locations in Wisconsin (Wausau and Stratford) and collaborates with local and centralized HR teams. Position Summary

The Payroll / HR Coordinator will support day-to-day HR operations, elevate the employee experience, and provide excellent HR service for associates at their site location. Responsibilities include HR process execution and communication, HR data and reporting, benefits support, payroll support, policy compliance, and HR documentation. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees seeking HR-related assistance, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution. The position will work closely with local HR teams and support multiple sites in Wisconsin, partnering with a centralized HR Coordinator and Operations team. Responsibilities

Payroll: Support bi-weekly payroll processing by ensuring accurate employee timekeeping records and resolving payroll-related issues. Payroll: Collaborate with employees and supervisors to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues at timeclock systems, ensuring accurate timekeeping and smooth operation. HRIS System and Data & Reporting: Train new associates and supervisors in how to use the HRIS system. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR databases and personnel files. Efficiently create and process reports from HRIS databases. Enter data and maintain HRIS records to ensure up-to-date and accurate information. HR Support & Communication: Work collaboratively with fellow HR Coordinators to provide cross-site HR support and help scale the HR Coordinator and Operations model. Assist with maintenance and distribution of HR communications and communication boards. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls; greet visitors and direct them to the correct location or person. Assist with planning and coordinating HR and company events and programs; assist with employee relations events as needed. Review and process requests for information for unemployment claims. Onboarding: Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation activities, including payroll and benefit training in new hire orientation. Assist new hires with submitting biometric information into the time clock system and ensure accurate setup and integration for time tracking. Assist new hires in accessing and navigating Workday; provide guidance to use features for time tracking, benefits enrollment, and updating personal information. Track the completion of benefit enrollments and proactively assist new hires with deadlines and elections. Input new hire data in database and process new hire files and timecards; maintain uniform program for production team (ordering and distribution as appropriate). HR Administration & Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Verify employment information (work number, I-9, E-verify) as applicable. Coordinate and ensure timely completion of employee acknowledgments for the Employee Handbook, Annual Production Code of Conduct training, and other compliance requirements. Create and maintain personnel, benefit and payroll files per legal requirements. Other: Create, manage, and administer the system for employee identification and building security badges; support training processes for the site; perform other duties and special assignments as needed. Qualifications

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience and/or HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP) will be considered. Experience

0–1 years of HR or administrative experience; internships/co-ops, work-study, or relevant campus roles count. Nice to have (not required): SHRM-CP (or in progress), payroll/benefits exposure, manufacturing or hourly workforce support. Skills

Self-starter with minimal supervision and guidance Ability to work hours that support all shifts; flexibility to adjust hours for multiple shifts or events Proficiency in HRIS (Workday knowledge is a plus) and other HR software Computer proficiency – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; experience with payroll, timekeeping, applicant tracking Strong customer service, listening, and relationship-building skills Knowledge of current employment practices and regulations; strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability Professional and confidential in work habits; strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills

Spanish bilingual Manufacturing experience preferred Experience with Workday preferred Work Environment
