Overview
Universal Banker role at State Bank. This position involves customer service, sales support, and paying and receiving functions within the community office. The role requires coordinating with the department and other teams, and reporting to the immediate supervisor. Responsibilities
Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Maintain awareness of new business opportunities; offer relevant products and services; refer customers to appropriate sales staff as needed. Meet or exceed referral and sales goals for both business and consumer clients. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and routine questions related to statements and accounts. Maintain knowledge of current bank products and services. Process changes to existing accounts as requested by clients. Assist in banking center call efforts by updating and calling prospect lists. Accurately process transactions (deposits, payments, transfers, etc.) in a timely and professional manner. Cash checks within approved authority and operating policy. Sell Cashier’s Checks and Money Orders; process night and mail deposits. Maintain appropriate cash levels and report any discrepancies. Prepare daily settlement and proof of cash; balance cash drawer daily. Prepare transactions for scanning and batch submission. Minimize risk of losses, including cash differences and other controllable losses. Prepare reports related to the function (e.g., currency transactions, BSA reports). Demonstrate knowledge of State Bank’s security program. Travel to other banking center locations as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Coordinate departmental tasks to ensure efficient processes and proper segregation of duties. Adhere to laws and policies designed to promote a harassment-free workplace; support risk management and regulatory compliance (CIP, CRA, BSA, EEO, etc.). Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested; provide data to appropriate bank personnel. Suggest process improvements to enhance the customer experience and communicate ideas to management. Respond to inquiries within established time frames and policy. Qualifications
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent. Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year of related experience preferred. Preferred Skills: Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills. Proficient analytical and mathematics skills. Proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills. Proficient eye-hand coordination. Ability to operate various office machines. Ability to lift approximately fifty (50) lbs. of coin. Visual and auditory skills. Physical Requirements
Occasionally ascend/descend stairs; move through different floors as needed. Position self to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight spaces. Remain stationary for extended periods; move about the office as needed. Occasionally move objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally operate machinery/power tools or motor vehicles. Regular communication with others; repetitive wrist/hand movements. Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements. Employment Details
