Work with the Agronomy Division Manager and agronomy team in developing a vision for the growth and profitability of the division. Help to continue the Sunrise safety culture by maintaining safe work conditions, promoting safety awareness 24/7, and ensuring proper training has been provided. Hire, organize, train, supervise, counsel, and terminate branch employees, delegating when appropriate and providing needed follow-up. Coordinating consultations with the management when appropriate. Ensure communication between the Regional Sales Manager and Regional Operation Manager is exceptional and that clear expectations are communicated. Act as a resource, guide, and coach to direct reports, assisting with job development and growth. Help set goals and provide the means to work toward accomplishment with the help of the Regional Operations manager. Ensure that operations and customer service are conducted as efficiently as possible while meeting the mission of the cooperative and the needs of the customer. Help each employee understand the "Culture" of Sunrise and what customer service truly means. Build a quality team of employees with passion for what they do, who are willing to work with and respect each other, including helping other divisions/locations. Be able and willing to cross-train employees to enhance skills so that employees have the necessary skills to help other divisions when needed. Ensure that the agronomy facilities and equipment are maintained in excellent condition. Ensure that the proper products for retail sales are in place and that appropriate margins and service charges established by the VP of Agronomy and Operations are maintained. Ensure that agronomy accounting is done in accordance with the cooperative's policy as determined by the controller, with billing and accounting controls in place. Ensure that the cooperative's employee policy is adhered to by all branch employees. Ensure that the agronomy branch operations are in compliance with applicable government regulations. Maintain and service a select customer base for direct sales of agronomy products and services. Provide excellent verbal and/or written communication with internal and external relations. Assist in agriculture insurance claims accurately with the Sunrise safety team. Secondary Responsibilities
Have or obtain the ability to get a CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement. All other duties as assigned. Requirements
