Join to apply for the Training NCO role at Memphis-Shelby County Schools. Delivers at a high level of competency in JROTC training and curriculum, developing the annual training schedule and curriculum for the entire Army JROTC for the district. Responsibilities require understanding of both theory and practice. Responsibilities
Organizes, coordinates and directs the major curricula and co-curricula activities and inter unit competitions for the school battalions. Oversees, reviews, and approves expenditures for the area of responsibility; provides fiscal data for preparation of the annual budget. Collaborates with supervisor and other District staff to develop short and long-range plans for the assigned program or functional area. Conducts planning and coordination required to conduct Junior ROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge and JROTC Summer Camp. Recommends changes and provides suggested solutions to the LET Program of Instruction (POI). Researches and explores feasibility of implementing new methods, technologies or programs. Researches, compiles data for, and prepares various statistical, administrative and/or financial reports as required. Acts as the JROTC information technology POC. Develops training plan for instructors on the Army operational software systems and maintains and monitors the operations of the Army-issued computer hardware. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor''s Degree in Education, Business, or other related field plus an additional 2 years Junior ROTC Instructional experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 6 years. Must be a certified JROTC instructor and be retired in the grades of E-6 through E-9. Driver's license required. Seniority level
