Dining Room Manager Job Description focuses on excellent customer service, customer satisfaction and problem resolution. Lead the dining room operations with a standard of a fine dining experience; ensure that employees demonstrate an exceptional level of hospitality and service towards residents and guests. Responsible for ensuring the dining room is ready for each meal service and motivating staff to be attentive and friendly throughout their shift. Major Responsibilities, Duties, Functions, And Tasks

Serve as a working lead manager coordinating activities of the wait staff to provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times Greet residents/customers and lead them to their table, seat and present menus in appropriate timing intervals for the best possible service Maintain overall responsibility for consistent meal service in the Independent Living Supervise day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards; provide positive and constructive feedback to employees to reward, coach, correct, and motivate Lead training programs specific to the dining room service (e.g., orientation, food safety). Actively recognize the team for the value they bring Monitor the overall cleanliness of the dining room and wait staff/kitchen areas Prepare a lunch and evening menu daily Conduct interviews and hiring for wait staff Complete work schedules for wait staff Team Members Oversee and implement special functions and catered events, organize function sheets, function book, posting board, and communicate to necessary staff Participate in development of special menus for the IL dining room, monthly and quarterly specials, attend food committee meetings Perform day-to-day assignments in addition to lead duties Assist with taking orders and serving tables when necessary Immediately report resident-related care concerns to the Department Supervisor and the Executive Director Interact with Team Members, Residents, and Guests in a courteous and professional manner Be accountable for all information in the Team Member Handbook Maintain confidentiality of resident, Team Member, family and facility information Follow oral and written instructions for all duties assigned and performed in an effective, timely and professional manner Complete assigned tasks in accordance with organization, facility, and department procedures Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory, and resources to perform their duties and meet service goals and deadlines; ensure the dining room is clean, neatly organized, and fully stocked with essential items Establish a safe work environment by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance and ensuring compliance with safety programs, standards, and procedures Responsible for all catered events throughout the facility Organization of function sheets, function book, posting board, and monthly specials Plan special theme meals for the main dining room, including dessert buffets and social hours Facilitating the setup, staffing, and breakdown of all special affairs and catering events Use supplies in an efficient and cost-effective manner Ensure equipment is treated with proper care and is used for its designed purposes Maintain cleanliness of the work area Qualifications

Ability to effectively communicate policies and procedures to customers and team members in a manner that is easily understood Works under minimal supervision, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals Employment details
