Position Summary The Communications Specialist is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Communications Specialist deploys the communications strategy across multiple business lines. S/he must thrive in a fast-paced environment with daily deliverables to different audiences. S/he manages multiple projects with critical deadlines and must also be able to write in different styles/voices, depending on the leader and the audience.

Position Specific Responsibilities

Writes and edits communications for multiple audiences.

Manages the company-wide communications calendar.

Creates and manages a regular distribution of newsletters for multiple audiences.

Executes the delivery of communications through online tools and platforms.

Maintains the company’s intranet.

Collaborates with the Communications Leader to implement appropriate communication strategies through different vehicles (written, audio, visual, etc.).

Analyzes and monitors communication data and recommends any course adjustments.

Generates slides, talking points, and other communication vehicles as needed.

Monitors and manages multiple email boxes.

Produces and maintains multiple distribution lists.

Participates in team projects.

Writes and produces external and internal podcasts.

Creates and manages digital display content for multiple locations and audiences.

Develops content for articles and press releases.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Education, English, or Liberal Arts required. A degree in another field will be considered.

Minimum of two (2) years of relative experience to the role required.

Skills

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

Language Skills:

Superior English writing and verbal skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Project Management skills. Self-starter. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Can creatively think outside the box.

Physical Demands and Work Environment The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
