SQL DATA ENGINEER HYBRID (JACKSONVILLE, FL)
ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Senior SQL Data Engineer. This position is a hybrid role located in Jacksonville, FL, working 2-3 days onsite and other days remote. This is a contract position through April 2025 with strong potential to extend or convert to FTE.

Overview JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for development, programming, and coding of information technology solutions using Python to enable enterprise Customer Experience applications. Responsible for documentation of the system, unit tests, peer code reviews, and maintenance of internally developed applications, evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. Responsible for including IT controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the application and data.
Responsibilities
Develop, program, and code IT solutions using Python.
Document the system, conduct unit tests, perform peer code reviews, and maintain internally developed applications; evaluate and perform performance testing of purchased products.
Include IT Controls to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the application and data.
Design and work with RESTful API services using Python.
Process batch files using Python and develop scheduling for batch processes.
Utilize database knowledge (SQL-related: SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, dBase, MS Access, etc.).
Apply unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocols, and change management procedures.
Understand and navigate the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Work with scheduling tools and desktop applications (e.g., MS Suite, Visio).
Qualifications
Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of related work experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry.
UNIX or Linux shell scripting.
Advanced SQL scripting/querying.
Working knowledge of PySpark and Hadoop environment.
Experience with very large data sets (millions of records).
Ability to evaluate libraries and choose approaches to meet business/technical requirements.
Demonstrated experience developing REST APIs using Python and processing batch files.
Proficiency with standard desktop applications and flowcharting tools (e.g., MS Office, Visio).
