Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end GIS solution architecture and implementation for utility clients (Gas & Electric).
Evaluate client's current GIS landscape (e.g., geometric network, legacy systems) and recommend migration strategies to Utility Network.
Lead prototype and develop implementation roadmap, including effort estimation, resource planning, and commercial proposals for full-scale Utility Network deployment.
Conduct architecture workshops with client stakeholders to align solution vision, integration touchpoints, and technical feasibility.
Architect solutions using Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcFM, and related technologies.
Provide technical leadership across project lifecycle – from planning and design to deployment and support.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of GIS systems in multi-tier, multi-machine environments.
Support proposal development, client presentations, and pre-sales activities as needed.
Lead Technical and Functional design workshops with the customer.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
15+ years of experience in GIS techno-functional roles, with at least 5 years as a GIS Architect.
Strong domain knowledge in Gas & Electric Utilities – asset management, outage management, network tracing, field mobility, etc.
Proven experience implementing GIS solutions in the North American Utility market.
Skill Set
Experience with cloud deployments (Azure/AWS), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Understanding data governance, security, and compliance in utility environments.
Certifications in Esri technologies or TOGAF/Solution Architecture frameworks.
Knowledge of FME
Ready to travel to client locations as needed
