Position Overview We are currently seeking a Safety Advisor to join our Southwest Team. This role will support projects throughout AZ and NM. The Safety & Training Advisor is responsible for planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and DOT. The Safety & Training Advisor is responsible for reinforcing safety culture within the organization.

This role will be based out of either Phoenix, AZ or Albuquerque, NM. Must be willing to travel throughout Arizona and New Mexico as needed.

Responsibilities

Training and Development: identify training needs, propose training/education plans to fill gaps, provide training to workers through tailboards and briefings, evaluate HSE education and training programs, assist in developing manuals and course materials, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Safety Inspections and Compliance: inspect workplaces and equipment to ensure safety standards, audit job sites, prepare written reports and recommendations, complete near miss/good catch reports, ensure timely incident reporting, and follow up on corrective actions.

Communication and Relationship Management: communicate clearly with employees, supervisory personnel, state and local officials, consultants, and subcontractors; provide support on sensitive/critical projects.

Support and Development of HSE Program: support corporate HSE initiatives, assist in developing and enhancing the HSE program, and perform analysis/trending of HSE statistics and metrics.

Regulatory Understanding: maintain a general understanding of environmental rules and regulations.

Education and Experience

High school graduate and/or GED

2+ years minimum related experience (ideally within power line construction)

OSHA 30 certification and/or related safety certification

Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with web-based tracking software

Must complete pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
